The result of the presidential election has caused concern to many in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community and our allies. While there is uncertainty within our community and our movement, we know together we can get through what might happen in the next four years. LOS ANGELES— An estimated 37% of LGBT Americans have had a child, meaning as many as six million American children and adults have an LGBT parent, according to findings from a national study released today by Williams Institute Distinguished Scholar, Gary J. Gates.
